Poly’s QD connector and Jabra/GN’s QD connector are physically different and not interchangeable — and the same goes for Yealink, Sennheiser EPOS, and other brands using their own “QD-style” connectors. A headset bought with a Jabra-style connector will not plug into a Poly bottom cable, and vice versa.
It gets more specific still. Even within the same brand, the connector has changed shape over time. Poly’s own documentation lists three distinct QD versions: one used before 2005, one used from 2005–2008, and the current version used since 2008 — and the company is explicit that the original version is not compatible with the newer ones.
